This is going to be a quick post today. There is a mouse in my car...no wait! That is A-!!! If you don't know what I am talking about, be sure to read her post below. Crazy!! Anyway, I'm not feeling so great today, in fact I thought I was dying earlier. But I haven't posted in a while and I don't want A- to fire me so here goes. I am a Food Network addict. I love to watch cooking shows, but I hate to cook. I know, weird. Anyway, I got my weekly email from the network today with grilling recipes and it mentioned a new show starting on Sunday called, Chic & Easy. It is about social entertaining and I can't wait to watch it. So set your Tivos to tape and let me know what you think. There will be a heavy emphasis on the recipes, of course, but will also talk about easy decor and themes. The upcoming programs look really good, like this movie night party. I haven't heard of the host, Mary Nolan before, but I wish her the best of luck! Here is hoping a program I like actually stays on the air for a while (RIP Miss Guided!). And don't forget to check out Cool Kids Parties on the Fine Living Channel. The parties are a little over the top but are fun to watch and get ideas from (can you tell my love of television is right up there with party planning?).
*edited 5/29/08 to add: What the f? I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that a Food Network show focused pretty much only on recipes. But Sandra Lee does a tablescape each episode. I guess I had been hoping for so much more. Mary didn't even really mention entertaining. And although she showed an easy idea for a centerpiece and used some Bambu plates, that was as far as she went with decor. I'm not going to stop watching just yet. The names of the next couple of episodes sound way more party-like. I will tune in again and hope for the best.
